SalaryThe Junior Engineer post carries a pay scale of Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th Pay Commission adopted by the Rajasthan Government. Selected candidates will be appointed as probationary trainees for a 2-year probation period. During probation, a fixed monthly remuneration (as prescribed by the state government from time to time) will be paid, instead of the regular pay scale. No additional allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, or Special Pay are payable during the probation period. On successful completion of probation (training, passing the required examination, and satisfactory conduct), the candidate becomes eligible for the regular pay scale and confirmation/permanency.
Age LimitAs per the notification, age is calculated with reference to 1 January 2027. A candidate must have attained 18 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years of age as on that date. Eligibility / Qualification

Post Qualification Required Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder Degree in Civil Engineering from a university/institution established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering recognized by the Institution of Engineers for the purpose of exemption from its associate membership examination Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Diploma Holder Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, or an equivalent diploma recognized by the Institution of Engineers for exemption purposes Candidates in the final year of the relevant course may also apply, but they must acquire the prescribed qualification by the date of the examination; otherwise they will not be considered eligible for this recruitment. RSSB JE Nationality Criteria An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates in categories other than Indian citizens must produce an eligibility certificate issued by the concerned authority of the Government of India.

Application Fee

The application fee is a One Time Registration (OTR) fee paid via SSO ID and is payable through e-Mitra kiosk, Citizen Service Centre (CSC), net banking, ATM-cum-debit card, or credit card. Selection Process

Selection to the Junior Engineer posts will be made through a written examination only, as per the scheme given below. Exam Component Marks Part A: General Knowledge (Rajasthan History, Art & Culture, Traditions, Heritage, Geography, Political and Administrative Setup) 40 Part B: Concerned Engineering Subject (Civil Engineering, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering as applicable) 80 Total Marks 120 Exam Duration 2 hours Question Type Objective type (multiple choice) Minimum Qualifying Marks 40% Negative Marking 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer The examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT), Tablet Based Test (TBT), or OMR-based offline test. If the exam is held in multiple shifts/phases, a normalization process will be applied to the scores.
