SalarySelected candidates undergo a one-year training period and are paid a lump sum stipend of ₹60,000 per month during this period. Free hostel accommodation on a sharing basis is provided at Trombay/Thal, along with medical facility at the RCF Hospital. On successful completion of training, trainees are absorbed in the E1 Grade with a pay scale of ₹40,000–₹140,000. The minimum total monthly gross emoluments (Basic Pay + VDA at 51.80% + Perks at 34% + HRA at 30% and other allowances) work out to approximately ₹86,320. Management Trainees posted outside Trombay and Thal (such as at Marketing Area Offices) additionally receive a fixed allowance of ₹5,000 per month towards boarding, lodging, and local travel, plus TA/DA on tours. A bond amount of ₹2 lakh must be deposited by the Management Trainee at the time of joining as a fixed deposit with lien marked to RCF Ltd, for a period of 4 years including the one-year training period. On absorption, employees also become eligible for company accommodation (subject to availability), Performance Related Pay, free medical facility for self and dependents, gratuity, contributory provident fund, accident insurance, and pension scheme as per company rules.
Age LimitThe upper age limit is calculated as on 01.02.2026 and varies by category. The general pattern followed across most disciplines is given below; a few posts (such as Boiler, Materials, CC Lab, Rajbhasha, Civil, and Fire) have narrower category-specific age limits because reservation is not notified for every category in those posts. Candidates should refer to the specific post-code table in the official notification for the exact age limit applicable to their category and discipline. RCF Management Trainee Eligibility depends on the discipline applied for. Only Indian citizens meeting both the educational qualification and age limit as on 01.02.2026 can apply. Selection Process

The RCF Management Trainee Selection Process consists of an Online Test followed by a Personal Interview. Online Test Computer-based objective test of 90 minutes, with 100 questions in total. 50 questions (2 marks each) are from the course curriculum of the relevant discipline/qualifying degree. 50 questions (1 mark each) cover General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge/Awareness. There is negative marking for wrong answers. The test is conducted in Hindi (Rajbhasha) and English, at centres in Bhopal, Delhi/Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane/MMR region, and Nagpur. Personal Interview Based on online test performance and document verification, eligible candidates are provisionally called for interview in a ratio of approximately 1:7 (7 candidates per post). Candidates must score a minimum average of 50% in the interview to qualify. Outstation candidates are reimbursed III-tier AC train/bus fare for both the online test and interview, as per the terms in the notification. Final Merit List Parameter Weightage Online Test 80% Personal Interview 20% Separate category-wise and discipline-wise merit lists are prepared. Candidates with nil or negative marks in the online test are not eligible for interview. Final selection is also subject to a pre-employment medical examination and document verification.
