Eligibility / Qualification
Educational Qualification Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in construction/supervision of projects in Hydrocarbon industry (process plants, pipelines, refinery, LPG plant, depots, compressor/pumping stations etc.). Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & NDT Level-2 Certification. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in construction/supervision of projects in Hydrocarbon industry. Junior Engineer (Civil) Diploma in Civil Engineering. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in design/site supervision for building construction/industrial projects. Diploma in Civil Engineering. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in construction/supervision of industrial projects, preferably in Hydrocarbon industry. Junior Engineer (Electrical) Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (or combination where Electrical is one branch). Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in design/construction of electrical works for building/infrastructure/industrial projects. Junior Officer (HR) BBA / Graduate in any discipline. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in the entire gamut of HR. Junior Officer (Admin.) BBA / Graduate in any discipline. Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience in administrative work. Age Limit (as on 02.02.2026) Post Codes Grade Upper Age Limit Pay Scale 01 to 07 E-0 50 years (before relaxations and additional experience-based relaxation) Rs. 30,000–3%–1,20,000/- (IDA) Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and by 10/13/15 years for PwD (UR/OBC/SC-ST) as per Government of India guidelines. Candidates domiciled in J&K during 01.01.1980–31.12.1989, Ex-Servicemen and other categories receive relaxation as per rules, subject to a maximum age not exceeding 52 years on the cut-off date. Additionally, 1 year of age relaxation is provided for every 1 year of additional relevant experience, limited to a maximum of 3 years, within the overall upper age cap of 52 years. Work Experience Definition Only full-time, regular salary-based work in relevant areas will be considered towards the required 16 years of post-qualification experience. Freelance, entrepreneurial, teaching, research, articleship/internship (other than certain PSU training and apprenticeship as specified) will not be counted.

Selection Process
The selection mode for MECON Limited Recruitment 2026 for experienced personnel is Personal Interview of provisionally shortlisted candidates. Shortlisting will be done based on scrutiny of applications, declarations and supporting documents uploaded by the candidates. MECON reserves the right to change the mode of selection if required, raise minimum eligibility standards, and increase/decrease or cancel vacancies at its discretion.
