Selection is based on a merit list derived from marks scored in the specified educational qualification, subject to being found "Medically Fit" by IREL (India) Limited's Medical Officer. In case of a tie, higher marks in specified educational qualification will be considered, and if still tied, seniority in date of birth will be taken. The priority order for selection is: (a) Candidates belonging to Land Affected Category; (b) Candidates coming under the Mining area and from peripheral villages situated within 10 KM radius of IREL (India) Limited, Chavara unit; (c) Wards of serving employees / Forum members; (d) Belonging to Kollam District; (e) Belonging to Kerala State; (f) Others.
